For the month of March 2010, the RMWTUG is trying something new: an online meeting. This allows members to participate from any location and avoids any potential weather-related problems with traveling to the meeting location. We will hold two meetings with the same presentations for both meetings. The meetings this month will be held on a Friday at noon and Saturday morning, to give our members the choice of joining the meeting at the office or at home. These dates also don’t conflict with our President’s travel schedule this month.

The two meeting dates and time are:

·         Friday, March 12, 2010, 12:00 noon - 1:00 p.m., Mountain time

·         Saturday, March 13, 2010, 11:00 a.m. - 12:00 noon, Mountain time

Agenda (same agenda for Friday and Saturday meetings)

·         First 5-10 minutes: welcome and networking

·         Presentation 1: New and little known features in Windows 7 and Windows Server 2008 R2

·         Presentation 2: Storage Interface Comparison Overview (FC, FCoE, IB, iSCSI, SAS, SATA, USB)

·         Wrap-up and discussion

Although these will be online meetings, you will have the opportunity to ask questions and interact with the other members present at the meeting.

Meeting Instructions

We will be using a combination of Microsoft LiveMeeting and audio conferencing technologies for these meetings. You can participate in any of the following ways:

·         Using only your computer. You will need speakers and optionally a computer microphone.

·         Using your computer and a telephone.

The computers will obviously need an Internet connection. You will also need to download the free Microsoft LiveMeeting client. In order to keep the meeting costs low, we are using a free audio conference service that requires a toll call for the audio conference system.
